    Digi Goodness

Many of you would have seen me post about my sister's digi designs and links to her freebies. She has recently been looking into selling her designs and kits after receiving a lot of interest from digi scrappers and online stores.

Wellllll...she has opened a store :) She has a blogspot store with a great range of kits, mini kits, brushes etc all at great prices. There is an automatic shoppingcart with payment via Paypal. Go and take a look if you want some digi goodness. Here is a preview of the sort of thing she designs....

    Cute huh!!

    Store Link Here
    (Thanks for the reminder Gayle:)

    Looooong weekend

We had such a lovely long weekend for the ANZAC break. Friday was a relaxing family day at home watching the service on TV and just spending time together. I popped out for a haircut at my friend's place for about an hour the rest of the day was a hme day. It was so good to just be home all day.
Saturday was the monthly crop day at Scrapbook Princess where Shan and I scrapped all day long into the night. We had such a good time and got lots of scrapping done. Here are a few layouts I managed to do on the day. The one below I did when I got home that night.

Scrapbook Princess has all the new Scenic Route stuff and Shan pointed it out to me the minute I arrived. I swear I nearly had to have a little lie down to drop my heartrate :0 It is yummy! I love the new ledger mini books and the chippie shapes...so divine and great prices too. Look out for some SR layouts here soon :)

Thislayout is one I forgot to share the other day. Using some new Basic Grey papers. Love them.

And a piccie of Miss Mikaela on Sunday afternoon enroute to the Brisbane Lions versus Melbourne game at the Gabba. Lions won in a very convincin manner and we had a blast, despite the 30 degree temperature and a tiny bit of sunstroke for Mikaela. That scarf sure didn'tstay on long! Last, but not least, Pop over to Lusi Austin's blog for the chance to win an amazing RAK of Buzz and Bloom goodness. Lots of other lovely bits in there too! Lusi's stamps and chippies are too cute for words and this is a good chance to win some for yourself.

What's black and white and read all over...

......my blog :) I have listened, I have changed. It is back to white. Seems the black wasn't popular so I have changed it back to white. This blog has changed more than Michael Jackson.

    Did you ever...........

.........slid down a grassy hill on a cardboard box? My kids have. This is one of our favourite activities at our brilliant local park. The kids just never get enough of it...and neither do I! I took them down there yesterday afternoon for a little impromptu play and someone else had the boxes this time. We just had a turn...along with a hundred other kids LOL.
Not a Gameboy or X-box in sight...just a whole lotta grass, a hill and some cardboard. We left with grass stains and smiles. How much better can a day be?

    Scrapbook Creations

My first layout for Scrapbook Creations has been published this month. It is sort of tucked away in there, but it is there ;) It is in the 'Up close and Personal' gallery. This is one of my favourites, actually, and I love the photo of Connor with his lovely lashes. The journaling talks about his shaggy hair, sweet little neck and long lashes :)

The next 2 are digi layouts for challenges at the Scrap Of Faith blog. The first is achallenge to use a worship song as inspiration and to include the title or words of the song. Perfect reason to use my 'Colour' conference photos of Brooke Fraser.

This one is a scripture challenge using Psalm 46:10 . This photo is of Jarred 'commanding' the waves at Mooloolaba.

    Layouts and little else.

Here's a few recent layouts and a couple I haven't shared yet. A couple are a bit ho-hum and ordinary, reflective of my mood at the time no doubt LOL.

    Mothers Day inspiration

If you're looking for a little gift idea to make Mum for Mother's Day, check out the challenges here at the LSBS Cybercrop this weekend. Pictured below is the altered board book album I have made as a step by step project. Very cute, inexpensive and easy to make for someone special.

    Observations

It has recently struck me how funny six year old boys are. Ethan went to a birthday party yesterday and there was a nice mixture of boys and girls attending. The party was for a divine little girl in Ethan's class who he thinks the world of. It was amazing to sit back and watch them all as they stand right on the cusp of that boy/girl love/hate thing that many kids seem to grow into. It is becoming more and more evident as this group gets a little older that there is a divide starting to settle in between the gender groups.
I wonder if it is intrinsic or something learned? Is it behavior emulated by younger siblings from older ones already old enough to be catching girl germs?
Ethan still likes having girls as friends but he occasionally wrinkles up his nose at the thought of girly things. Like dancing for example...check out this little crew of wallflowers at the party. Hilarious!

He may not want to dance, but he sure loves to swing.........

And he has a ball permanently attached to his foot...or forehead :)

    Thursday shares

I am very excited to share my very first layout published in For Keeps Magazine. After seeing it featured on the website home page I have been waiting to see my layout in the mag. I wonder if the excitement of seeing your work in print wears off? I hope not LOL. There is also a smaller picture Ethan featured in the contents page...bonus!
This weekend is gearing up to be a busy one. Rich, Jarred and Mikaela are heading off to Newcastle for a camp. I am working on Saturday morning and then heading to a crop for the evening! Hopefully I'll have something to share from then....even though I tend to talk more than scrap ;)
