    I love Lusi

    ...and her awesome challenges that lift me out of my box and force me to try new things. I took on Lusi Austin's blog challenge last night and created a layout with the following criteria -
    * Paint
    * Stamp made by you (I used the edge of some cardstock to stamp my arrows)
    * ribbon
    * The word 'Reality*
    * Letter stickers
    * 3 other stickers or fonts (I went with fonts)
    * M&M's...Ok that criteria was mine ;)

    This is my effort. A layout of Mikaela in her finest, most flattering position. Just hoping and wishing against the odds for all 3 pins to fall...not gonna happen Chicky ;)

    Today was a fun day for the year ones and they dressed up in their farm finery. Lethal *I look ridiculous in this checked shirt* Ethan had a great time doing all of the activities. He blew bubbles, did crafts, made yummy lolly bickies, painted, played games etc all afternoon. I went along to photograph (*ahem* help out) and had a lovely time too. It is lovely to be at a stage where we no longer have little babies and toddlers and can occasionally do these sorts of things at school.

    Kaiser Goodness

    This Kaiser Fairy Castle Album was a design Team project for Little Scrapbook Shop this month and I managed to get a start on it at the awesome Scrap of Faith crop I hosted on Saturday. We had a fab day of chatting and scrapping with the Brissie SOF girls. I can not wait to do it again soon.
    All the products used for the castle album are available from LSBS.

    This layout is a recent one of Jarred from his 13th birhday. Love that Crate Paper.

    Miss Mikaela. Love this photo :) Mmmmm Noteworthy papers.

    Lethal Ethan and his football addiction. Love the sun flare in this soccer pic. My layout photo doesn't do the photo justice I'm afraid. Too much glare.

    This is a gift bag I altered for Ethan's little friend Abbey who is having a pirate party next weekend. Love the Grungeboard skulls for a piratey theme. Whipped up a card to match.

    My camera

    In response to a question from Kellie about my long jump pics, I use a Canon 400D. I used the kit zoom lens for these shots which I rarely use to be honest. It was quite good for sport's activities though when I was quite some distance away. I actually had a number of parents ask me to take photos for them on the day as I had some cool shots of the long jumpers especially. Some of the contorted facials are quite good for a giggle ;) I love the camera and have really enjoyed learning to use it in full manual mode. One day I hope to upgrade to a better model but for now this is my baby and does the job quite nicely.

    Here are a couple of recent layouts I haven't shared. The first is my darling niece Piper...is she not the cutest with those cheeks?

    This is of my Connor and his Little People obsession.

    Long jumper

    No, not those oversized cardigans in fashion this season but good old genuine, old fashioned, face contorting long jumping. Miss Mikaela had her sport's day at school yesterday and placed second in the discus final. I, of course (Mother of the Year), missed her big event but captured photos of everything she didn't place in LOL. She did very well and had a great time.
    Here she is, tongue out of course...it helps you jump further, don't you know.

    I love this second one...look at that air! :) She's a right little pocket rocket that one.

    Ethan 'Leadfoot' Leworthy competes on Tuesday so we'll see how he goes...check back for a report ;)

    It's Friday!!!!!

    It's Friday the 13th which means that we are hosting a freaky Cybercrop over at Little Scrapbook Shop this weekend. Be sure to check it out to win some awesome prizes and to have a few laughs. Nowhere else on the WWW can you play online bingo with appearances from the Hoff, Warwick Capper and other hairy men :0
    Here is my step by step album for the weekend's cybercrop. Check out the thread here for the steps.

    I received a parcel this week with a returned layout and my contributor's copy for this month's Scrapbook Creations magazine! It was a lovely surprise as I had forotten I had a layout in this issue. Connor was very excited to see himself in the mag again and commented
    "That's me in the magazine Mummy but that's not my real hair you know". LOL...no really???! It is also on the contents page which is extra fun :)
    Here is a sneak peek of the layout - For the beads gallery. The word 'Fro' is covered in microbeads.

    Sharing

    First up are a few design team layouts created for Little Scrapbook Shop with the yummy Fancypants About a Boy range. The colours are so bright and funky and with ribbons, transparencies, die cuts etc the ranges are a breeze to use.

    This one was just for fun. My DD and her friend at Church for Mother's day performing in the kid's choir and handing out chocolates to all the Mums.
    I have a few more to share from the Scrapbook Expo on the weekend but rig ht now I need to sleep!

    Today I am..........

    .........The mother of a teenager!

    Master J turned 13 today. It is unimaginable that he was born 13 years ago. I am sure it was just yesterday that he entered the world sqealing and kicking....he still does this on occasion, truth be told.

    He has the Ipod Nano, Billabong everything, surf wallet, hats, clothes, cold hard cash and a stack of other teen goodies to enjoy and yet his fave gift is the rubber WWE thumb wrestling puppets I bought him. LOL, bless him :)

    A weekend of bowling, pizza, mates, white chocolate mud cake, arcade games, presents, trip to see the Lions play today etc and he is a happy camper. He is doing so well this term at school and his marks and attitude have dramatically improved. We are getting great feedback from his teachers which is just amazing and wonderful.

    Happy Birthday my firstborn.

    I have neglected my blog:(

    Things here have been flat out and a bit full on for the last week or so. Connor has had an upper respiratory infection and has coughed non-stop (seriously non-stop) for 7 days. He is on a stronger anibiotic as of yesterday and is on constant nebs to try and get it under control. Poor little chick has lost a kilo and had nothing to spare to start with! He should be on the mend soon and is already a little perkier and eating a little today. Surely jelly, tinned spaghetti and sherbet is a balanced diet ;) Poor kid LOL.

    Here is a little advanced notice on the upcoming Little Scrapbook Shop Cybercrop happening on Black Friday this month! Even if you pay no mind to superstitions or strangle little rituals involving salt and handerchiefs, come and join us for some fun challenges and the chance to win some great prizes.
