    Back Online!

The kids are back at school at the same time as my internet is reconnected...woohoo! I had some modem issues which are now, thankfully, resolved.
The children were all packed off yesterday looking shiny and happy. Long may it last! (Master J, the highschooler, is missing from the photo as he was long gone and dodging the camera).
My baby started school for the first time and had a great time. He is right in his element seeing as he has been in and out of the school literally his entire life. He has been for two days now and has been ready both mornings by 7am and stays in his uniform - right down to the hat and shoes - until I drag it off him at bathtime. He is hilarious.
He always did like a costume..........

    Holiday madness

Last week this crazy child turned 10! My baby girl turned ten. Double digits is quite the big deal so she is a happy girl LOL.

She had a camp-out birthday party with 8 friends all sleeping over in a tent in the garden. They had a great time debating the cutest Jonas Brother, eating loads of junk food (well not loads, but enough) and getting a tiny bit of sleep.

In the morning we made stacks of pancakes, decorated the birthday cupcakes and packed up the sleeping bags before the we sent the girls home, under-rested and over-fed. Just like any good sleep-over ;)

This layout is one I created for this past weekend's Cybercrop at LSBS. Nic challenged the design team with a last minute summer inspiration challenge and I went with the thong theme from the image she supplied.
Master Connor is quite taken with Daddy at the moment and copies everything he does....right down to his choice of footwear....too cute!

I am in the midst of back-to-school madness right now with masses of contact, book labels and lunchboxes. With four at school this year it is proving to be quite a task. I have lacked motivation on the book covering front this year and am hoping the enthusiasm kicks in soon....hmmmm.

    New layouts...

Just a couple of layouts to share from the crop on Saturday. I had a fantastic time with Shan and Lisa despite only cropping for the last half of the day (worked in the store for the day portion). I didn't get much done but had lots of laughs :)
I did another couple of layouts that I can't show yet but will share them soon.

    Photographs

Seriously, this photo is a bit freaky yes?

This was taken literally seconds before he burst into tears over something I can't even remember. See how his bottom lip and chin are sort of starting to crinkle...oh dear. If you didn't know he was about to bust into tears you would swear he was holding a machete in his hand and preparing to inflict a terrible injury on someone!

This one is Miss Mikaela's new haircut. The kids all had haircuts last week and Miss M decided to have hers all cut off for summer. This is the shortest it has ever been I think and she loves it. It really does suit her I think.

And lastly, this is Miss Piper, my niece. These photos were taken at the park today and she seriously made me crack up with her antics. Normally she runs a mile when the camera comes out but today she performed for me! Lots of smooshed up faces as she said 'Cheeeese' LOL.

    She is so cute :)

    "Wheeeeeee!"

    "Cheeeeese!"
    "Stuck!"
I managed to finish a few layouts tonight from the crop on Saturday and will photograph and share them tomorrow. It felt good to scrap again!

    Organised spaces

There is a 'Show off your space' thread happening at LSBS right now where everyone is putting up photos of their scrap spaces. With the move to this new house I moved out of my little scrapbooking nook/cupboard at the old house and into the garage here at the new place. I do share my scrapbooking space with a Kia Grand Carnival and a washer and dryer but otherwise the space is all mine!
I have a thing for labeling and even labeled my photos...to show all the labels *sigh*. I need to get out more.

And some photos of the new house -
Here is Miss Mikaela's room. She has gone with a High School Musical theme which I'm sure will come as a HUGE surprise to anyone with a 10 year old girl. We drew the line at the shrine to Troy.....no candles for this little groupie.
Much of her stuff is stored in her double built in wardrobe. All of the kids have their drawers in their cupboards to free up space.
Love, love, love these Ikea units. So practical and easy to keep tidy for the kids.

My linen cupboard...just cause it's tidy LOL.

The kitchen. Lovely walk in pantry which I am enjoying after the old place didn't have a pantry at all!

Dining Rooom - Notice our big new square dining table for eight. It takes up a lot of space but is just brilliant.

The Little Guys room - More Ikea storage goodness...lots of tubs and fantastic plastic.

Their bunk beds. We have gone with an animated theme in here simply due to the fact that they are six and four and that's what they are into. You'll notice Hammie and Vern from Under the Hedge have taken up residence.

There's more rooms obviously but Master Jarred refused me entry with my camera and bathrooms and things are pretty boring. We still need to hang the artwork and photos and buy bookshelves.

Speaking of Master J, here he is yesterday after his new cut and bleach...yes we let him get some blonde tips, even though he came out looking a bit whitewashed I think LOL. He loves it so that's all that matters I guess.

And one of the little men in the family. Ethan received a DS for Christmas and loves it. For my outdoor boy to be so enamoured with something electronic is quite amazing. Connor is a bit put out that he is the only one who doesn't have one but he'll have to wait his turn.

    I'm back!

That's right, it is all happening here at the Leworthy residence.

We are nicely settled at the new house and have unpacked all but a few boxes of books which need some new shelves. May have to head back to Ikea for those soon...they should have a frequent shoppers card for customers like me LOL.

I'll post some pics of the new house in my next post. First of all is a catch up of Christmas and the last couple of weeks. As we moved in on the 23rd of December (yes this was nuts) we had a fairly strange Christmas. We were pretty moved in but had no decorations or tree which made for a bland old Christmas! Luckily Nanny stepped in and saved the day on Christmas eve and brought her table top Christmas tree around to add a little festive feel to the place.

Christmas day was spent at my sister's place (Tracey) and it was lovely. Lots of gorgeous food, great gifts and awesome company. It was super relaxing and the kids, especially, had a ball.

Look how much lunch Tracey had!

Hehe just kidding. Tracey is due with her first baby in just 3 weeks and little baby McGreevy was kicking up a storm for us all on Christmas day. Miss Mikaela was quite fascinated by it all and felt her new little cousin-to-be moving around in there.

Moving in for a closer look...this one cracks me up!

Life is busy at the moment with school holidays and work. I started work at Scrapbook Princess this week, actually working in the store, as well as my teaching regular classes. I am really enjoying it and the other girls are fantastic. We are juggling everything OK right now but it will be easier when school goes back. Master Connor is gearing up for Prep in a few weeks and is cherishing his letter from his new teacher. He has carted it around for days. Hopefully the novelty will last LOL.
