Feeling a little better today. Not so heartsick and a little more calm LOL. DH is home tonight...yay! He should be here any minute so that is a relief. He called at the end of the trek and said he was freezing and exhausted. Guess he'll be doing some sleep catch-up tomorrow. Miss M and Lethal E are both sleeping over at Grandma's place tonight so it will be a little less hectic tonight. Just wanted to share the LO of my niece that I did for the LSBS kit comp for June. Lovely Dreamstreet papers...find them here - http://www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au/index.php?manufacturers_id=178&zenid=1b8afd5c5537622c66e3b90b026cc6d9&main_page=index

Not so good
Had a bit of an icky, sad day today. My Dad called last night to tell me that my Poppa had just passed away. He has been sick with alzheimers and related illnesses for a while now and had developed a nasty chest infection in the last week, but it was still a shock. I knew he was in palliative care and Mum was booked to fly out to WA today already, but he went before she got there. Dad will meet her there tomorrow thank goodness as I am sure she will be needing him there. I am so sad. I have missed seeing him for much of a decade as he has been in WA for that time and also affected by the insidious alzheimers. Rich is still away and out of mobile range, so I haven't even been able to consider flying out for the funeral...we'll see. I imagine he is freezing his bits off this week out in the bush! Had a shocker of a time getting Master C's (3) hair cut today...Grr. Already felt low and had no energy, so restraining Master C was the last thing I felt like doing. He is a little lopsided, but my friend Michelle cuts his hair....she'll fix it for me when he is in a better mood :) Hoping to get some scrapping done tonight...maybe LOL.

New Life
Here is the layout of my friend's beautiful new baby...Rebecca. Isn't she amazing?? She was 8lb born and already looks chubby and squishy and all things gorgeous. My babes were all this big so I can imagine what she feels like to hold :) Had a lazy day today. Kids are a bit off colour with varying degrees of coughs and flu that kept me up last night so I skipped church this morning. Caught up with some work today but still have plenty to do. School Holiday care starts tomorrow and the kids are really looking forward to it. Underwater World, movies, parks skating, bowling etc...who wouldn't be looking forward to that for 2 weeks? I am going to attempt a full clean out of the bedrooms and cupboards again this week. DH will be away at a training conference for his course, so I can pull everything out and have it done before he gets back. If I don't blog this week it is likely I have been buried in a mass of linen, lego or shoes!

Back to blogging
Haven't blogged for over a week! Life just gets away doesn't it? Haven't scrapped much either, but have some great new pics to scrap this week. I have a pic of a very newborn baby welcomed nto the world this week by some close friends. Their much awaited little pink bundle is called Rebecca and is just cute as a button. She is a little miracle and I can not wait to scrap her photo. Kids are now on holidays...eeek! Nah, should be a good break in routine actually LOL. Will be back later with some photos if I ever get any scrapping done.

Big Day Out
Had a great day today. Went to the Scrapbooking and Paper thingy (LOL) at the convention centre. The classes were very popular and there were some excellent teachers and displays. I spent way too much, but bought some gorgeous things I have been admiring...Hambly overlays and PP's, clear stamps, ribbons and more..so much fun. Best of all was meeting up with some ladies from LSBS and SM forums. It was so cool to meet face to face and get to know each other a little better. Thanks for a great day girls :) I am really trying hard to gather some mojo and complete at least one LSBS cybercrop challenge this weekend, but am failing miserably. Hopefully I'll sneak in some creative brilliance later tonight and tomorrow LOL. Will post some pics of afore mentioned brilliant projects later.

My big guy is 12 today :)

Wow, can you believe that Master J is 12 today! Unreal isn't it? It seems like the blink of an eye since I was labouring and cursing DH, facing my new role as 'Mother'....and now he is almost a teenager. At 4:05am twelve years ago this morning, I pushed Master J into the world..amazing! He has had a good day and will have a little 'gathering' tomorrow with a few mates for a movie on the big screen. Should be lots of fun. Still debating whether or not 12 year olds have birthday cake with candles and the Happy Birthday song...must ask Master J about that one ;). I am participating in the LSBS Cybercrop tonight. Lots of great challenges and chatting happening over there as usual. Big move for me today is the quiet inclusion of my blog link in my sig over at LSBS....eek! Wonder who will be my very first visitor ;) Seems very strange to open your life up to others like that!!

Ick and Double Ick :(
Kids are home sick from school....all of them! Sore throats, coughs and runny noses all round - blergh! I've set Miss M up with some scrapping stuff and her birthday pics so that will keep her busy for ages. Mr E is whining...just for a change ;) and MrC is very happy with the TV. Master J is into a good book and will unlikely surface for a good while yet. I have a thousand domestic jobs to do and am on here instead (just for a change LOL).

Busy, busy, busy :)
Had a really busy weekend..kid's activities - Community Blitz Day - Church committments...but lots of fun. Managed a few new layouts too...
Mr C...up a tree outside Lethal E's Prep classroom. This kid never smiles for the camera so when I managed this cheesy grin, it had to be scrapped LOL.
Mr C again...on his little trike he recieved from Aunty Tracey and Uncle Kevin for his birthday...isn't he cute? Have had these MME papers for a while and they suited this LO.
The Divine Miss M - I did scrap this pic a while back for a Cybercrop, but didn't like the LO so much...this is the new improved version...well I think so LOL. Big news today is the announcement of the LSBS Little Book of Big Memories Competition. I entered this comp and won the FTI category...very chuffed :) The overall winner, Tash, is an incredible talent and deserved the amazing win...such a great comp and great entries..thanks Cath and team :). A busy week ahead too...will pop in when life is a little calmer (huh!).
