Everyone knows that you simply can not go to the local show and not buy a gaudy, red, felted cowgirl hat with flashing lights. It's mandatory. Well my daughter would have you think as much. Apparently, it is what she has always wanted...at least from the second she walked in the gate at the show yesterday.
She has a school bush dance next month so it will get a good wear in any case.
Luckily the boys were happy with their free caps from the fire ant stand and a bubblegum showbag each. Boys are so easy LOL.
This is the second of the Kaiser Castle albums I have made for my adorable nieces. This one features MME papers and tags. I love the colours of this range. I hope my nieces like them as much as I do LOL. They may be hard to part with ;) I just need to add some journaling and they will be good to go.
One more thing...I received an email today asking me to send in both of the layouts I submitted for Creating Keepsakes magazine! This is my first time subbing to the Aussie gallery of CK and I was over the moon to receive a positive response for both layouts! How exciting.

Lessons learned...
Just a quick digi that I did while editing some pics.We went to the park for a quick play today and I grabbed the camera as I walked out the door.
On the way home I stopped at a little fabric store with the kids (first mistake) and had to park a fair way from the store as the shopping complex was packed. I had a little browse in the store, not finding anything I wanted and then 'popped in' to Spotlight (second mistake). The place was feral! It is being completely renovated and it is an absolute shambles. I lost the kids within seconds of walking in as we were so disoriented. I fnally gave up and walked out without a thing!
When we walked back to the car, Mikaela went on ahead and got there first....to find that one of the kids had left the sliding door of the van wide open for the entire time we were gone!
Praise God nothing was stolen....especially my DSLR camera sitting on the front passenger side floor with just a cardigan thrown over it :O I was so mad and upset that we had been so careless. Regardless who left it open, it was my responsibility to check.
I am so thankful everything was still there when we came back.
So here is the layout featuring the photo from this morning - that was on the camera - that was miraculously still in my car this afternoon!
Thank you Lord.

Broken Promises...
In the off chance that someone was wondering where on earth I've been this week...I am here :)
My Nanna has been here visiting from South Australia and I have been the designated driver, tour guide, opp-shop finder, Spotlight store seeker, toilet taker, knitting companion and all-round gofer for this week. Oh and throw in an assortment of mobility aids to transportfor good measure!
It has been wonderful to see her and spend time with her this week but I exhausted LOL. Today is the first day I have had to get some work done at home and to catch up here.
Here is the promised pic of my new wall art. The weather is very gloomy today so the light is bad. The image is one of those peel-off (hopefully hehe) vinyl stickers that I picked up at The Rocks market in Sydney back in March. I love the quirky little silhouette and had to have it.
It is hanging above our bed. Rich says that with no bottom on the cage he sure hopes he doesn't get pooped on!
Here are a few layouts from the crop at Scrapbook Princess last weekend where I got to scrap with the fab Amanda, Lisa and karen. Poor Shann was sick and we missed her! I also did a couple of mini albums but they are not fully finished yet. The photos are all from our trip up north in the school holidays.
Don't forget to pop in during our August Cybercrop coming up on the 15th August. Here is a little sneak peek I created for the store......
Remember this book? Those of you with kids will probably have read it more recently. I love the images in this book and the story is very cute. The cybercrop will be inspired by all things wild next month so be sure and pop in.

Digi share
I haven't scrapped a digi layout in so long. I created this layout for the Scrapchat digi challenge this month and I quite like it. It sure takes a bit of getting used to after taking a long leave of (digi) absence.
I am currently sitting in my pristine (mostly), sorted and organised bedroom after spending considerable hours today doing a purge and toss. I sorted old clothes, magazines, shoes, books etc in the hope of having a bedroom that more resembled a boudoir than a bordello.
I even managed some wall art which I'll photograph and share tomorrow. At the time I bought it I intended to put it up when I had sorted and beautified my bedroom...that was back in March. I am feeling very happy in my heart to see my new feature....back tomorrow with a peek............

Conversations with a four year old
It was one of those wet winter days today which make you want to dive under the doona with a good book. As I was snuggling on the lounge with Connor I got talking about what I am going to do next year when he goes to school. Our conversation went a little like this...
Mummy - So who am I going to cuddle on rainy days next year when you are at school?
Connor - You'll have to cuddle Daddy
Mummy - But Daddy will be at work
Connor - You'll just have to go to work too
Mummy - Where should I work do you think?
Connor - You should work at Bi-Lo with Rachel and then she can cuddle you.
>
I can only imagine how my sister will feel about me working in the supermarket with her and tracking her down for a snuggle LOL. I'm sure she won't really mind ;)
I am starting to think a lot about what next year will bring when my baby goes to school. I will be looking for some more permanent work and praying for one of those dream school hour jobs :) I am sure the right thing will come my way but it is so surreal to think all of my kids will be at school. So much to think about.
While I have you here, if you had some of these....
Actually, lots of these...........
What would you do with them? It is time to think about cooking some of them because we are all a bit over eating them as is. What apple recipes do you recommend? Inspire me!

Upcoming....
Little Scrapbook Shop has a Cybercrop coming up again soon. No doubt you'll see my flyer popping up around the scrapping world over the next couple of weeks. It is sure to be an elegant occasion so frock up and join us for a fun weekend.
This layout is for a non-traditional colour layout challenge over at LSBS. I have challanged members to create a layout using boy colours for girls and girl colours for boys or at least non-traditional elements to their pages. Pop over here and have a play.
On a personal note, I am frantically getting ready to go to Townsville on Thursday for 5 days. I am packing, wahsing, cleaning, sorting, organising etc for 6 of us to pop off for a little (working) holiday. I seem to be going one step forward and two steps back at the moment! To top it all off I have a suspected broken rib and am findidng the physical tasks a little difficult :(
Suffice to say it involved a dark night, a washing line, Ethan's bike and a badly positioned handle bar. Not so good. Laundry is highly overrated.
