....as always. The last few weeks have been flat out. The next few weeks will be the same so nothing is new LOL.
I went to a historical village today with Miss Mikaela for her class excursion. It was a heap of fun and really interesting. Besides being in charge of first aid, 6 small children and their assorted paraphenalia it was surprisingly enjoyable.
I seem to be the Mum on excursions that the teachers automatically assign the 'liveliest' and most 'spirited' boys (very diplomatic hey!) My 3 male charges today were too gorgeous but very busy. What is it with boys and munitions? They all wanted to see guns. Nothing else, just guns....and bombs. They like bombs it seems.
As part of the excusrion, the children all dress in period costume...every busy mother's dream. I Sewed up a little bonnet and pinny for Mikaela last night while simultaneously cooking the chicken Kiev, listening to Ethan's year one reader and watching the news. Today I am tired.
Here is the little Miss. The photos are bad as I was juggling 6 water bottles, the first aid kit and assorted gem stones. This is Mikaela with her gem stones from the sifting activity.
Inspecting her gems....I haven't the heart to tell her that her agate is not worth enough to buy a NintendoWii.
The little bonnet I made. I didn't get a decent full length shot.
How funny are these pics from a birthday party Ethan and Connor attended on Sunday. I love the expressions on their faces and the static hair. Too funny.

Happy Mothers Day
Hoping all the Mums had a great day today. Mine was a lovely, quiet day...perfect! No cooking, no cleaning and a Nanna Nap...bliss.
Miss Mikaela performed a special Mother's day item at church this morning with the kid's choir. She was so cute and the choir was gorgeous. Their choir teacher had bought them all T-shirts with "I LOVE" on the front and "MY MUM" on the back...too sweet. There are a couple of piccies down further. These pictures are of Miss M in her new hat. I was coerced into buying her this hat 'that she had always wanted' when shopping yesterday. I have to admit it is mighty cute on her .
The Divine Miss M and the Adorable Miss A handing out little heart choccies at church this morning.
Mikaela belting out "You are so Beautiful"....so sweet. She is much prettier than Joe Cocker don't you think? LOL
This is a layout I did using the new Scenic Route I drooled about last week. Yum! I did another one which is off to Scrapbooking Memories magazine for a Hobbies gallery. They also picked up a digi I did of my Dad and niece for the Grandparents gallery. Very exciting.
This layout is made with some letters I made for a step by step technique lesson at Little Scrapbook Shop. I have entered it over at Aussie Dares this month as it fits their WORDS theme.
Last but not least is Miss Mikaela's publishing debut in Scrapbooking Memories magazine this month. She is so excited and has not put it down since she received her copy LOL. This is the layout she submitted for the Young Scrappers gallery...pretty good huh!

Sewjo on the go go
Yes, that is a bad post title, but it's all I've got.
I have actually sewn today. I have dusted off the machine and sewn a quilted tote bag. It is made with the beautiful Moda fabrics I used for my quilted bed runner. This time I used a Jelly Roll to create this quilted strip tote. The strap is also quilted and padded for extra comfort. This one is the perfect size for a day out with the kids and their assorted junk. I, of course, do not carry junk ;)

I won!
Thanks so much to everyone that voted for my stamp design over at Scrapniques. I have my stamp design for sale in their store :) Have a look here. It is a very simple clock design with no hands....the artist can simply fill them in themselves. I can not wait to see mone when it arrives. I have also won a layout challenge over at Scrap Of Faith this month. A yummy bookstore voucher...bliss! I haven't entered challenges in quite a while so these were lovely surprises.
