And another thing....
Catching up.....again!
This is a (blurry) photo of me with my favourite accessory. For me this was easy as my camera is easily my fave accessory. It is a Canon 400D and I love it. My other fave accessories in this pic would be my rings....quite appropriately as it was my 13th wedding anniversary on Monday. Also note my new, short hair-do! I had all my hair chopped off last week and feel ever so liberated. My least fave accessory in this photo would be the lines near my squinty eye. What's that about?!
This layout is one for Little Scrapbook Shop featuring the KI Memories Pop Culture range. Lovely bright and funky things. Check them out here.

This is....
Following along with the weekly Meme from Three Buttons . Sunday lunch is usually a pretty casual affair here as we rarely finish church until 12:30 or so. Seeing as church is also our work, we are always home fairly late. Today was ham, cheese and salad panini's toasted in our sandwich grill. We sometimes go to a friend's place for lunch, go for a Sunday drive and eat out or visit family. We rarely have a formal Sunday lunch as such but are almost always together as a family breaking bread... panini in today's case.
Nothing crafty happening much this week. I completed a scrap layout last night but haven't photographed it yet. I did receive these little beauties in the post during the week ready to be turned into quilty things. I already have a few stacks of those 'Look and Learn' charm squares but wanted some more to make a larger quilt. I think that might be next on my list.

This is.....
I collect vintage children's books. I adore Enid Blyton especially, as I know many others do judging by the amount of Enid Blyton collections I have seen popping up all over blogland this week. I also delight in The Bobbsey twins series, Rupert anuals and Milly Molly Mandy to name a few of my very faves. My all time favourite book is the now very politically incorrect Little Black Sambo. My well thumbed childhood copy was taken to Preschool by my little sister and promptly lost, never to be seen again. It is a rare and expensive book these days so I have never found another one to replace it...yet ;)
My Mum found me a Little Golden Book not long ago called The Boy and the Tiger which is the modern, more acceptable rewrite of the original Little Black Sambo. She handed it to me as a replacement for the lost original and told me to get over it. I love my Mum. And Tracey, I forgive you.
Just a small sample of my books...
Another more recent collection is my ever growing stash of retro fabrics. I adore the housewife prints and Dick and Jane fabrics. Michael Miller has gorgeous prints that defy the sewing scissors. One day I will use them....probably....maybe :)
Other collections of mine would be children and dust.
This totebag is one I made over the weekend. It is a little long for an everyday one, but perfect for library books or magazines. One to use when I wait for the kids at their varous after school activities. Lastly I leave you with Connor's dinner creation from last night. He calls him 'Monster Mash'. Glad to know one of the children has inherited my love of art.
