He was desperate for a party and even more desperate for it to be a pirate party. This child loves costumes and dressing up.....and who could refuse that cute child a pirate party!? Not me.

Ahoy there!
My baby turned 4 on Saturday. Can you believe it? I certainly can't. Surely it hasn't been 4 years since this little guy entered the world sunny side up and squawking :)
He was desperate for a party and even more desperate for it to be a pirate party. This child loves costumes and dressing up.....and who could refuse that cute child a pirate party!? Not me.
THE pirate cake. Quite a straightforward cake really. Connor thought it was quite spesh! Aaaarrrggghhhh!

Love this photo....,y niece Jenna is giving him the old heave ho and Connor is loving it LOL.
Here is my littlest niece Piper holding Mummy's hand...too cute for words in her piratey gear.
Connor had a great day and received oodles of lovely presents. He is already talking about having a puppet party next year...whatever that means??

Catching up with Meme....
I have missed a few weeks of the Three Buttons Meme due to different reasons...apathy mostly *apologies*. I won't try to catch up with them all but will share the last couple.
This is my greatest creation. Now as any mother would say, my children are my greatest creations. As the meme only allows for one creation, I will forgo featuring any of my offspring and concentrate instead on a handmade creation. I think my greatest creation to date would be my quilted bed runner. I blogged it not that long ago, but it is my greatest sewing achievement, being my first quilt.
This is my vice (the original term used was demon, but that just doesn't sit well with me so vice it is). I am a sucker for coffee. Really good, strong coffee. I drink it every single day and miss it desperately when I can't have it. I don't think this is really a good thing and have tried to wean myself on occasion. I always managed to stop drinking the caffeinated stuff when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, but I always go back. I guess there are worse things............yes?

Easter etc
I hope you had a happy and safe Easter! We had a lovely Easter break and enjoyed a great family weekend together. The kiddies are all old enought now to fully appreciate the real meaning of Easter, but also young enough to be desperately keen to discover what was in their baskets on Easter Sunday.
Easter Sunday was not only a great church service in the morning, but also the live recording of a new worship album for our church. It was so exciting and very cool to be part of. I can't wait for it to be released some time later this year. Miss Mikaela was the worship leader for the junior choir on Sunday morning, all dressed up as a bunny...too cute. She was really very good!
This weekend past also allowed tme for some scrapping! I managed a few layouts and even finished a mini album I started months ago and never got around to completing.

Digi share
Just a quick share of the digi layout I made for the LSBS Cybercrop Digi challenge this weekend past. I challenged the digi girls to make a layout featuring a celebration of some sort, using the colour green and more than one photo.

How Exciting!
I just popped onto the For Keeps website and my 'Eggstreme Sports' layout is featured on the home page advertising the new Easter issue. What a cool surprise. Check it out here. It features our Lethal Ethan again, much to his delight. He has been quite the celebrity in his class this week with his layout in Scrapbooking Memories and has loved all the attention.
Add to that his turning 6 on Friday and it is truly Ethan week ;)

....almost forgot
That the first of my published layouts appeared this month in Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. Ethan took his copy off to show and tell yesterday as he is featured in one layout and believes he is now quite famous...in year one anyway ;)

March Madness
It is truly madness around here at the moment. March is a month full of birthdays, conferences, elections, work, school stuff etc etc all piling on top of one another. I have a rare quiet morning today so am here to upload a few things.
I returned from Sydney on Monday after an awesome weekend. The conference was amazing and the group of women I traveled with were such fun! We laughed til we cried, shared amazing testimony and stories from home, drank coffee, ate naughty things and had an all round blast.
The obligatory Bridge shot of course. We had a beautiful breakkie by the water at 'Portobello's'??
One of many, many skinny Lattes consumed that weekend.

This is a shot of the screen taken while the amazing, beautiful talented Brooke Fraser was worship leading. She is just brilliant. This one is for Lusi ;)
My roomies for the 4 days. We had an absolute laugh and enjoyed the weekend immensely.
The entire 'Colour Crew' that traveled together. We packed 24 women and luggage into 3 Kia Grand Carnivals which proved to be a feat of modern engineering and sheer luck.
This photo was snapped in Sydney right near the Rocks Markets. I just had to snap a picture of this beautiful Bride as she strolled down to the harbour for photos. Love the Groom's pink shirt, vest and tie!!....and mobile phone LOL.

Lethal Ethan managed to lose two teeth while I was away! Isn't he hilarious??

Sharing
Here are a few recent layouts. I have been endeavouring to use some stash for these layouts and managed to creat 2 layouts with some of the Basic Grey Periphery range which I love and have had for months. The other is made with some yumy Sassafrass Lass papers.
I am off to Sydney on Thursday for the 'Colour your World' conference which I am beside myself with excitement over. I have so much left to organise before I go but I always make it in the end.
See you all next week.
